ArchivedOne sin greater than another? When the "otherguy" said, "perhaps I misunderstood" that's when you should have told him the truth. This is nothing to get mad at him about because he was not being bold about his opinion. I think he was definetely open to new opinions on those passages in Roman and maybe you could've explained it to him instead of backing off a bit. Hold on for a second here. How do you know if he really means this? Did you confirm this with him and get a "yes, that's what I think" out of him? If you ask the "otherguy" if he thinks there are some homosexuals that ever got converted and quit that lifestyle, and he says "yes," then what you just posted is irrelevant AND he would have contradicted what he said. It's always good to ask a question to confirm an opinion. We're all human and sometimes we say things we don't mean. It would be good if you confirm what his opinion is before you start spreading this around. Also Aineo, in your response to my post you made bold letters on the part that you wanted to show to me, when in essense, the message was on my side. The message you posted from Barnes' Notes, Electronic Database initally said: "This does not mean that their sin was greater than that of Pilate, though that was true; but their sin was greater on account of the fact that they perseveringly and malignantly endeavored to obtain the sanction of the magistrate to their wicked proceedings." Eventhough you might be showing me that the passage in John 19:11 does not mean one sin is greater than another, the message itself agrees with the fact that some sins are greater than others. |
