And how, Alpha, is gay sex any more dirty and defiling than sex between a man and a woman? Now I'm the one who's sad, because Alpha has said a very depressing thing. Don't let personal feelings get in the way of the truth? The love and spirituality we can share with eachother is what religion should be about. If we aren't allowed to love our neighbors as ourselves, and treat them with as much respect as we'd like to be treated, then how can we consider ourselves good people?
I don't just believe what someone tells me to believe. I take all of the personal experiences that I've had in my life into account. If I hadn't grown up around gay people, I may have agreed that their lifestyle is ungodly. Now I've witnessed the lifestyle (not the sex itself, of course, but the lifestyle) and I've drawn my conclusions from experience rather than assumptions.
I believe that as a person who has lived in the midst of gay people, I have a perfectly valid argument. In fact, experience is the greatest of educators, and I daresay that my opinion is more credible than some reference written centuries ago by people who hadn't experienced the gay lifestyle themselves.
Don't let my personal feelings get in the way? That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. I wouldn't debate about something if I weren't passionate about it. I wouldn't say something I didn't believe. This isn't about truth, its about belief. You can't prove that what you say is the truth. Mathematics is the only thing in life that isn't open for interpretation.
