ArchivedIslam and violenceOf course we need the written word of God, but what the post was saying, was IF Jesus is the Word of God, and we both agree He is, and if you believe (as Christians do), that Jesus is God and that therefore is "The Word of God" in the most intimate way possible, and if Jesus is alive today and is active in the world (Which Christians believe He is), and if He sent His Holy Spirit to us to teach us all things (which Christians believe He does), then His Word IS as eternal as He is. He speaks directly to our hearts.. so when we read the Word of God (written text), it lives, it's active, it's a two edged sword that teaches us how to live, how to relate to God. |
