ArchivedENOUGH!!"Christians" who do these kinds of things are doing it on their own authority. In fact, if someone claims to be christian and does what you are saying without feeling any kind of conviction, then they are not really Christians. They are definetely not getting their actions from the teachings of Jesus Himself, because we are not to condemn anyone. If Jesus was here, he would probably hang around homosexuals preaching the gospel to them. That is all we are to do as Christians, preach the gospel. Don't get mad at us because we are commanded to do so by our Lord and Saviour. The thing is some Christians get persecuted by some homosexuals for just preaching the gospel. If you are walking down the street with your friend and someone wants you to sign a petition and you wave them off, then you and your friend start making fun of the person you waved off, that is not a nice thing. The person who wanted you to sign the petition did not do any thing wrong. He was just doing his job. Most Christians (not all) are like those petitioners. They get rejected, then they get ridiculed just because they want to tell you the "good news" which you don't want to hear. Now we are commanded by Jesus to keep our peace and just walk away if you do not want to listen to us. But we are still going to go around telling unsaved people (not only homosexuals you know) about the gospel if they want to hear us. Now when you talk about condemning people to hell and what not, we are not to do that. So if you ever see a Christian condemning a homosexual to hell, you can easily point out the fact that Jesus' teachings do not justify that, but in fact disallows it. That's all! Granted, homosexuality is still a sin along with many other things that ALL humans do, that does not mean we are to judge anyone for what they do in a condemning way. |
