ArchivedMeat: Good or Bad for Christians? :: Re: Jews Under Grace?Re: Jews Under Grace? Where did you get this? Genesis 9 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. Genesis 27 4 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Genesis 45 23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way. Then there are the laws for the priests saying they could eat parts of the sacrifices, then the passover lamb, then the qual God sent to the Jews in the wilderness, then skipping ahead to NT, Jesus broke fish and bread..... It is fine to choose not to eat meat, but the Bible makes it clear eating meat, is fine, but meat is only the clean foods. And, how do the Gentiles live under the law of grace on eating unclean foods? What verse? I remind you John 14:15"If you love me, you will obey what I command." Gentiles who are saved, really ought to love God, and thus obey His commandments. They still apply. (Matthew 5:17) As for how the Jews will know they have been decieved, I still cannot find any such reference in the Bible to anything even remotely similar. The nearest I can find is the beast (the AntiChrist) shall speak blasphemey against God. I did some checking, and the nearest I can find is you got that idea from the Left behind book series. In the movie, they dont have that, but rather the AntiChrist stands in the temple and declares himslef to be God. Much more accurate, but probably not correct. Blasphemey includes that, but it also includes proclaiming to be equal or above. But, we have diverged from the topic at hand..... |
