ArchivedSome Gays Distort the Meaning of Biblical VersesThe Scenerio: Person A- This person comes on the site and posts that the bible is not against homosexuality. This person even tries to make his/her point by saying the bible says "love thy neighbor" as if this justifies homosexuality. Question 1: Did I deliver this message to Person A in a wrong way? Question 2: How would you have done it? O.K. you say we should not judge people, and maybe I took the scripture out of context where it says we should judge ALL things(this is still debatable however), but I said we are allowed to judge things in light of scripture. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says Prove(test) all things; hold fast that which is good. This passage does not say we are only allowed to preach the gospel, but we are given the right to prove whether a person is right or wrong when making a biblical statement. I never said we are allowed to condemn people. The judging you are talking about is condemning and finding people guilty. I never said we should judge a person of their sin. I am simply saying if a person says that a certain act is not a sin, I should in the light of scripture, judge their statement when they say homosexuality is a sin. |
