your bible
it seem to me like you are questioning the authentity of the NIV? I do not read NIV version. Me, I read the Good News Bible mainly because that one was given to me at my confirmation. It was popular version at that time in late 1980's. It feels a little bit limited at times although I don't read is as much as I should. There is somethng in me that is reluctant to buy a new bible when I already have one. that whilst I might not look at it often as I ought, over the last three years I have read more pieces from it than I thought I ever would. You choose your bible for what suits you. If you don't like it because you don't think it is for real or all those other questions you have asked - then simply don't read it. Life can be simple though am guessing you are only after a debate and since the debate sems to have died in that it is a fair time since anyone posted I guess that my comments may have already been said. But who knows. Whilst I have not given a theological view point, it is a valid view point.
