Ecclesiastes 10:17 > Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, And your princes feast at the proper time-- For strength and not for drunkenness!
In a world that seeks pleasure, one of the things this verse teaches me is that, for the most part, we should not seek pleasure for its own sake, but pleasure must result in a more deep reason for a thing......and even if we are seeking pleasure for its own sake, we must make sure our timing is right and that the more important things are handled first.
Also, whenever we exercise amusmement in something, we obviously must make sure it is not sinful in itself.
Therefore, all these three things:
(1) seeking pleasure for its own sake
(2) seeking pleasure at a wrong time
(3) seeking sinful pleasure
can (1) and will (2,3) result in dissatisfaction.
