Buddha, Hinduism, Mithraism, Baha'i, & etc.Well, love me all to hell...Hello to All -
I am new to this site, as I found it quite by accident. I would like to put in my 1/2 cent here if I might.
Has anyone ever considered the thought that the bible was written as a parable of lessons to be learned? How many bibles are out there anyway? Which one is right? Old or New? Who interpreted it and when? What makes one right and another wrong? "An eye for an eye"...what does it really mean? Surely not do to another what one has done to you. That seems like such a slap in the face (turn the other cheek). The law of karma comes more to mind.
It is sad to see that religions and religious beliefs are so binding...that one is put in a box with a closed lid...only to be fed what the "church" or the "bible" believes to be true.
Well, I say that one does not need a "religion" a "church," or a "bible" to find the divine...which lives in the heart center of every human being. What a wonderful world it could be if we all learned that LOVE is the key.
