Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesIf we werent to obey 2What is this word of faith that Paul was preaching? Paul is quoting Moses and explaining the meaning of Moses' words. Let's look at Moses' words. Paul is speaking of the same word that Moses is. What does Moses say? This commandment that I command thee this day. Now if it was not meant for us to obey the law, why would Paul say this (the quote from Moses) is the word of faith that we preach? It is clear that Paul is quoting Moses and speaking of what Moses said as the word of faith, Paul was preaching. Yet Moses is talking about the commandments of Yah if reference to the word being near, even in thy mouth and heart, that thou mayest do it. And Paul is confirming the testimony of Moses, regarding the commandments.
Yahoshua asks the question, if you don't believe Moses' writings, how can you believe me? Why ask this? Because if one does not believe what Moses wrote, it is impossible to believe Messiah's words. It is impossible to obey Yahoshua, if you don't obey Moses. Those who were victorious over the beast, sang Moses' song and Yahoshua's. There is no separation between the two. Peter warns us that unlearned men would wrest Paul's writings just as they do other scripture. Now, those who proclaim the law is done away with, who's writings do they rely upon to accomplish this? Paul. People twist Paul's epistle because they cannot do so with the others. Only the unlearned will tell you the law is done away with and they will most times, stay within Paul's writings to do so. It is because Paul way of presenting the truth is manipulated by those who have no heart for Yah. Messiah says, that all things must be fulfilled CONCERNING HIM. And that not a jot or tittle shall pass from the Law. Heaven and earth will past first. Why are you ignoring these facts in scripture. Heaven and earth have not passed. So why don't you believe Messiah who said the Law will not pass either? The author of Hebrews states, that with the priesthood being changed, it is necessary for a change of law also. What does this mean? He is saying that since the priesthood is changed, it is necessary for the laws pertaining to that priesthood be changed also. He is not saying the Law is not to be obeyed, but that the laws concerning the office and functions of the priesthood must also be changed. Other than these two scriptures, Paul's writings are the only one's used in support of abolishing the Laws of Yah by unlearned men who don't comprehend Paul's words. Yet in this we clearly see that not all things to be observed by believers are spoken of. For example, murder and stealing is not spoken of, but we know that we cannot murder or steal. So let's not be blind and say that these are the only things that need to be obeyed. Now, why would they says the believers have Moses preached every Sabbath? If verse 20 was the only thing, why comment on them having Moses preached every Shabbat, if not for the purpose of saying they will learn the rest of the law in time? It is clear that Moses' teachings have a bearing on those in Messiah. Messiah says on the two commandments above HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS. He does not say that these two replace them. Does a hanger replace your shirt or jacket? No, but those things hang on a hanger. What he is saying, is that all of the LAW AND PROPHETS hang on these two. If you love neighbor as self, you will not sin against him. If you love Yah, you will obey His commandments. Without keeping the commandments you cannot keep these two. If you steal from your neighbor, you don't love him as self. If you are disobedient to Yah, you don't love him with all your heart, mind, and soul. Why? Because you despise His commandments, choosing your own way over His ways. That is to place self above Him. These things will be clear to those who truly desire to please Yah. Those who wish to please men, will keep following the lies of men to fit in and be accepted by those they wish to please. The Pharisees put tradition above truth and the praises of men over the praise from Yah. Don't follow in their foot-steps. If we weren't to obey, Paul would not be quoting Moses and calling Moses' words, the word of faith that they were preaching. Love Always, |
