ArchivedJesus: The Son of Man or The Son of God?Again for your first point your not understanding. You accept the gospels as accurate, so thats the premise that i have to take with you when debating, i have to debate on your terms with something that you accept, so it is logical for me to quote from the gospels because you believe it. Many of the prophets were persecuted by the people, maybe because they are scared of what the prophets are saying, or maybe because the prophets were sent to change falsely set traditions that have deviated from what God had wanted. I remember reading how jesus had somehow broke the sabbath, by healing someone, and that was one of the reasons they wanted to kill him, according to the gospels he never claimed to be god, but the claim was that God was his father, and thats what the jews associated with him claiming to be equal. I've been talking to a catholic friend of mine, and he admitedly isnt that religious but he does believe and goes to mass, he told me that his understanding was that jesus wasnt God, but was a man. But when i asked him about the trinity he said it was father son holy ghost.... mucho confusiono thereo! |
