Paul :
Titus 2:13-14
13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the Great God and Savior Jesus Christ; 14who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Thomas:
John 20:28
And Thomas answered and said unto Him, my Lord and my God.*
John:
John 1:1, 14-15
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of Him, and cried, saying He that cometh after me is preffered before me: for He was before me.**
*No rebuke from Jesus for this blasphemous slip were it not true.
**The Word was both with and was God, the Word became flesh, this flesh was borne witness by John the Baptist. Who did John the Baptist bare witness of? Jesus the Christ. Jesus = Word = God.
