Free For all - Open Discussions and DebatesI need helpThank you. The links to the Chinese Flood references do help, though I would have expected a written record rather than myths. Myths tend to pre-date civilisation. It wasn't the salt content that bothered me about the tropical fish, rather the coldness of the water (or the warm of it for non-tropical). But now you mention it....wouldn't it have been more than 'some' for a lot longer than a little while? I'm glad you have brought up evolution, as that is another of my concerns. I have to admit that I am surprised to hear an admission of even the concept of evolution! If species on the Ark could evolve after the Flood and this is accepted, why not before the Flood and what would make man immune to the same evolution (the variations we see in people today suggest we do evolve to some degree). And for the amount of space available on the Ark (I would imagine with food and everything, there wouldn't be a lot of space), the few species that were taken apart would have to evolve and distribute themselves around the globe at an incredible rate. My knowledge on evolution is limited, but I understand it to take thousands of years for the slightest change. Wow....that sounds like a pro-evolution rant, it isn't, but you see my point and cause for concern? |
