John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.
Do you accept that this is about Jesus? That it is Jesus spoken of in these verses?
(assuming you did)
Okay. Then this implies, that
whenever God speaks throughout the old testament(only though there is only one testament in my opinion, and not a division) it is Jesus Christ speaking, for He is the word of God.
Malachi 3:6a
“I the LORD do not change.
Stating that this verse is out of context does not apply, because it is in context if you read further in the chapter.
This means, that Jesus who spoke the law to the people of Israel(not just moses alone, but to the entire nation of Israel), is still the same Jesus today.
Now, how do you get the notion that God would suddenly approve of: Murder, thievery, adultery, idolatry, blasphemy, rebellion, lying, worshipping false gods, lying and desecration of the sabbath?
God stays the same, now, and for always.
Matthew 5:17[TNIV]
[ The Fulfillment of the Law ] "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
What does fullfilling the law mean? If you break the law, you are required to pay with your own blood, or with the blood of an animal. Without bloodshed there can be no forgiveness.
Jesus paid your due punishment, once and for always. That means fullfilling the law.
If you mean that fullfilling the law means that it's done away with, you are saying the same as: My friend paid my speeding ticket, now speed limits do not apply for me anymore.
Your wallet will surely feel it.
Jesus concerning the law:
Matthew 5:18 [TNIV]
Truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Matthew 5:20[TNIV]
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 23:23 [TNIV]
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
Luke 10:25-26[TNIV]
[ The Parable of the Good Samaritan ] On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"
Luke 16:17[TNIV ]
It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.

Galatians 3:21-22
21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
But enough of that now.
In short, what I am trying to say is, the ten commandments, are still very actual, because paul keep warning people of aspects out of the law of God(not, the law of moses)
It is my very serious opinion that the law of God should be observed, if you want to be prosperous in the Lord. Because the law of God, identifies sin, without the law of God, you wouldn't know what sin is.
Plus, as I mentioned above, who in his right mind, who loves God and serves God, would wish to do any of the forbidden things in the ten commandments? Who'd wish to break one commandment of that?
Why displease God, whilst it is so much better to please God by not sinning.
