The title of this thread is: Law + Gospel = Salvationl. You agreed with present Truth, so what parts of the law do you maintain should be kept?
Exclude what is in the previous post and you have your answer.
You see LastWord, there is nothing in the law that allows a human sacrifice to be substituted for bulls and lambs.
Psalms 40:6-8 Sacrifice and offering You did not desire but a body You have prepared for me; burnt offering and sin offering You did not require. Then said I, observe, I will come: in the volume of the scroll it is written all about Me, I delight to do Your will, O My Elohim: Your Torah is within My lev (Rest Script) lev = heart.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
That takes care of the human sacrifice part. For the Law is not the only part of scripture.
Luk 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them
I wish that people would hear them.
Now you quoted one verse out of Romans 2 but based on your last post I presume you are changing your position to that the Law + Gospel does not = Salvation?
Law and Grace has always been my position. You are not understanding me, if you think otherwise.
On another thread your position is we are to keep some portions of the Law, specifically the Jewish festivals of which God said:
Read what is before verses 10-17
Isa 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
Isa 1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Isa 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
He despised their feasts, new moons, etc because of their iniquities. What is the purpose of keeping a feast or going to the temple and praising Yah, if you are not obeying His commandments? That is lip service, praising Him with the mouth but not having the heart to obey His commandments. The issue was not the feasts and new moons, but the disobedience of the people and the forsaking of His laws. Why would God have pleasure in a feast by those who reject His commandments and live in lawlessness (separation from His law)?
Would America be pleased with people celebrating Independence day, while at the same time, rebelling against their authority and being disobedient to its laws? Of course not.
So, I ask you again, what parts of the Law are we to obey?
And again, I will answer.
The
Scriptures are very specific. I have given scriptures that show the things pertaining to the changing of the Law with the changing of the priesthood. All of the changes pertain to the ministry of the priesthood. Therefore,
let us not assume we are free from obeying what the scriptures do not say we are free from.
Love Always
