ArchivedJesus: The Son of Man or The Son of God?How are you going to be inaccurate by quoting what someone says? How is John just going to make up the fact that Jesus says He is the only begotten Son of God? I understand you realize that all the gospels have some differences in them. That is why you have to read in context of scripture. If all the gospels written by John, Matthew, Mark, Peter, James, Timothy, Luke, and Paul were all the same, we would hear people talking about a "conspiracy" going on here. How can 8 writers have the same exact story? They all share the same essentials, which is Jesus died for our sins and resurrected. That's all that really matters. If you had 8 witnesses to a crime scene, all are not going to tell the same story. You might get extra info from some and others will tell you straight up what happened. We are humans, not robots. We are not programed to think the same. In sports, every athlete has his/her own style of playing, whether it be shooting a basketball, a batting stance, but in sports the players share the same fundamentals, whether it be bunting, or setting a pick. Those are the givens. So all the gospels might not be the same, but they share the same fundamentals. God uses humans with free will, not programmed robots. |
