Good morning islam_paljic.
I don't need to know the whole Qur'an to know it is filled with myths, legends, and is not true just as I do not need to know the whole Book of Mormon to know it is filled with myths, legends, and is not true. What I need is to know the Bible and accept it is the inerrant word of the only true God who cannot lie.
So lets start with the one verse you posted from Jeremiah. God through His prophet Jeremiah is telling the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah they are listening to false prophets, not that all God's prophets have led the Jews astray. Go back to Jeremiah 23:1 and put verse 16 in its full context. When you do you will read this:
Jeremiah 23:3-4
3 "Then I Myself shall gather the remnant of My flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and shall bring them back to their pasture; and they will be fruitful and multiply. 4 "I shall also raise up shepherds over them and they will tend them; and they will not be afraid any longer, nor be terrified, nor will any be missing," declares the LORD.
NAS
The LORD (Yehovah) initiated the Zionist movement in the late 19th century, a movement that continues today with the aid of gentiles who support Israel, which was prophesied in Isaiah 49. This movement will culminate with Jesus returning to this earth to reign from Jerusalem after Yehovah has annihilated all those who war against the the modern nation of Israel (Revelation 19-20).
Jeremiah 23:36 is true. Jesus took the scribes and the Pharisees to task for this when he said:
Mark 7:6-23
6 And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
'This people honors Me with their lips,
But their heart is far away from Me.
7'But in vain do they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'
8 "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men."
9 He was also saying to them, "You nicely set aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition. 10 "For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother'; and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death'; 11 but you say,' If a man says to his father or his mother, anything of mine you might have been helped by is Corban (that is to say, given to God),' 12 you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother; 13 thus invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things such as that. "
14 And after He called the multitude to Him again, He began saying to them, "Listen to Me, all of you, and understand: 15 there is nothing outside the man which going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man. 16["If any man has ears to hear, let him hear."] 17 And when leaving the multitude, He had entered the house, His disciples questioned Him about the parable. 18 And He said to them, "Are you so lacking in understanding also? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him; 19 because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated? "(Thus He declared all foods clean.) 20 And He was saying, "That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. 21 "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, 22 deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. 23 "All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man." NAS
There is no doubt the Jews ignored and disobeyed God or that He disciplined them by making them subjects of other nations. However, Yehohah does not break His own covenants, which is why the modern nation of Israel exists today.
Tell me islam_paljic, do you understand the use of metaphor, analogy, and other literary devices? The woman of Revelation 12 is Israel and the dragon is Satan. The child is the Lord Jesus Christ who was born of Mary, crucified as God's perfect sacrifice, was resurrected to Yehovah's right hand and will return to redeem all Israel (Romans 11:25-27) and reign as the Lord of Lord's and King of Kings.
Your religion was birthed in the 7th century of 600 years after Jesus instituted his church. Your religion has waged war against the Lord's church from its inception.
Now let's look as John the Baptist.
John 1:29-34
29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 "This is He on behalf of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.' 31 "And I did not recognize Him, but in order that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing in water." 32 And John bore witness saying, "I have beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. 33 "And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.' 34 "And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God." NAS
You asked what the meaning of this question: "Are you the prophet?" What prophet was expected by the Jews? The prophet that Moses wrote about in Deuteronomy 18:15-18. Jesus is that prophet.
I understand that Arabic is an older language than English. However, I also understand then when translating the Bible from Hebrew to English, Arabic, or any other language we must understand the true meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words. For instance in all English Bible's the Hebrew YHWH is translated "LORD". The Hebrew YHWH is the Jew's covenant name for God and should be translated Yaweh, Yehovah, or Jehovah depending on how the translator thinks God's name should be rendered in English.
How is the following translated into Arabic?
Genesis 2:4
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD (Hebrew word is YHWH) God (Hebrew word is elohiym) made the earth and the heavens,
KJV
Now translate this verse from Arabic to English for me and let's see if you understand the Arabic translation of the Hebrew Bible.
Is the Arabic translation of the Bible incorrect? No, however your interpretation of the Arabic Bible is superfluous and you lack the knowledge to understand what you read. Yehovah never instructed the Jews to force Judaism on anyone or to convert the world to Judaism. The Lord Jesus Christ never told his disciples to force the Gospel on anyone or to kill those who rejected God’s truth. On the other hand the Qur’an does. God gave the Jews His law to govern the nation of Israel. God did not give His law to the Jews so they would conquer the world and place all humanity under His law. Jesus said:
Matthew 5:43-48
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you 45 in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? 47 "And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. NAS
The Qur’an tells Muslims to kill unbelievers wherever they are found, God tells us:
Deuteronomy 32:35
5'Vengeance is Mine, and retribution,
In due time their foot will slip;
For the day of their calamity is near,
And the impending things are hastening upon them.' NAS
Romans 12:19-21
19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. 20 "But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. NAS
Hebrews 10:30-31
30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge His people." 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. NAS
I may not know the Qur’an but I do know that God will take vengeance on all who break His laws and that includes Muhammad and all those who kill “unbelievers” instead of praying for them and letting God judge those who reject His truth.
The Bible has not been rewritten, men have interpreted the Bible for selfish and immoral gain.
