Apologetics Forum: Ask questions about Christianity/Debate doctrinesA prophecy of God coming to our worldMaybe down the road one day you can tell me what in the Nicene Creed is unbiblical and imported. It's a summary of our faith as put forth in scripture. Exodus 7:1 7:1 Then the LORD said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet. NAS Exodus 4:16 He shall speak to the people for you: he shall be your spokesman, and you shall be as God to him. This connotes a relationship. Aaron is a spokesmen for Moses, similar to how Moses is a spokesmen for God. This isn't to be taken literally. That makes sense, right. Now I asked you something, which I expect a response for: The language in Isaiah states that God will come down and save us, how should that be interpreted? That would be the question. Also, how should it be interpreted that the Holy One and King is God's Son and his agent...and God states that He is the Holy One and King. That's from another discussion, but I didn't get an answer. I'm sidestepped questions??? Your credibility is also at stake here. The argument about Jesus's divinity and nature is a very complex argument. The first two lines of the Nicene Creed shed light on the early Christian's mind. One God, the Father, his Son one in being with Him through all things were made. The relationship between the Father and Son is certainly more elaborate than that of Moses and God. Jesus is of the same nature and substance as the Father, as is the Holy Spirit. Jesus is "before all things" and "before Abraham, I AM". Where did any man call himself "I AM", or is it stated was a mediator in creation??? |
