And thus, your citing these verses is irrelevant to my statement. You are simply giving a more general definition of sin by stating that it is what constitutes a separation from God. I am being more specific in defining sin as the act of presuming oneself as separate from God. For example, thinking oneself separate from God, one engages in premarital sex. That is sin. "Sin" means, "to miss the mark". By presuming ourselves to be separate from God, do we not "miss the mark"? Yes or no, please. |
