Buddha, Hinduism, Mithraism, Baha'i, & etc.Well, love me all to hell...I know what a strawman is and my response does not fit the criteria. This Jivatma is humanly impossible. No human being can negate his humanity or his ego, all any human can do is suppress his ego. Taken from another viewpoint, self-negation is the ultimate ego trip in that one becomes self-righteous and full of pride at his own accomplishments. What brand of transcendentalism do you subscribe to? It seems you want to bring God down to your level instead of allowing Him to lift you to His level. Christianity does not teach salvation by good works, Christianity teaches that saving faith is demonstrated by good works. No person can work their way into God's kingdom, since citizenship is the Kingdom of God is a gift based on His love, which He freely gives to those who seek Him and His truth. You seem to have a problem with a perfect God whose perfect love rewards those who seek Him and His will while rejecting those who spit on His love by living evil lives. What you are doing is judging, to use your own words a transcendent God that no man can fully comprehend no matter how many lives he lives. |
