Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesOneness debateSuperman. I like your avatar. Again, we go back to the duality of Jesus' nature. If we believe the Bible's very clear statement that Jesus existed previously to His physical birth 2000 years ago, then no matter what sect you are from, you must acknowledge He had a dual nature. If He did pre-exist, He would obviously have a human nature, and a (whatever else He was) nature. Since the Bible demonstrates repeatedly, and in many different ways, that He is actually God, our Creator, we would see that His dual nature is in His humanity, and deity (as God). When God became Man, He never stopped being God. If we understand God is omnipresent, we have no problem with this concept. If we understand that Jesus was a real created Human, we should have no problem understanding that He would pray (as we all should) to His creator. As a Man He would obviously use terminology such as "Me" and "You". Which puts a clear distinction, not in "persons" of a godhead, but in the humanity(created) speaking to the divine (creator). |
