...Into Temptation.
This portion of the Lord's (Model) Prayer has always baffled me as to precisely it is instructing us to pray for.
1. It can't be asking God not to lead us into temptation to sin because God isn't going to do that anyway.
2. If it's asking God not to lead us into what we would consider to be some form of "testing" of our faith, then why would the Son of God instruct us to pray for something the NT tells us to rejoice about and for which a crown is reserved for those that endure these "testings"?
Obviously, I must be missing something here, but I really don't know what it is. Can anyone out there clarify for me what it is?
