Firstly brother,Shabbat shalom
Heres my question and this is something I find alarming in Orthodox Judaism
Why in the Haftorah(prophets) readings is Isaiah 53 blatantly skipped? This clear potrait of the suffering the Messiah goes through points to no one else but Jesus of Nazareth.
This is how the Haftorah readings go when it gets close to Isaiah 53:
Haftorah for Ekeb Isaiah 49:14-51:3
Haftorah for Shofetim Isaiah 51:12-52:12
Haftorah for Noah Isaiah 54:1-10
Haftorah for Sephardi ritual Isaiah 54:1-10
Haftorah for Ki Tetze Isaiah 54:1-10
Haftorah for Re'eh Isaiah 54:11-55:5
So we see that thee Haftorah readings heard in the synagogue conclude at the very verse which begins the "Suffering Servant" passage....And the readings pick up just after the 53rd chapter of Isaiah
