Free For all - Open Discussions and DebatesWhy did God create man?1) God created us because He is a being of relationship and love. as to the answer for #1 that was already given, it doesn't seem that love can really even be justified when speaking of a completely monad being. only in the Trinitarian view does love and relationship and creation make sense. without the Trinity, who was God loving when He was alone? who was He talking to or relating to? what you end up with is a finite God who needed man in order to love and have a relationship with. and since love is an attribute of God, it must be in His nature from everlasting. to say that He created love, or that love was missing from Him before there was anything to love, is to say that God was lacking one of His own attributes or part of His nature. making Him finite. |
