Have you all seen the Tostitos commercial where there's 3 guys standing in a conference room looking down on a group of construction workers?
One of them says "Typical. One guy does all the work while the others just stand around watching." Then you see a woman working on a computer (doing all the work) and then showing her results to the rest of the guys (who were just standing around watching). The commercial ends with one of the guys saying "Way to go, team!"
Am I the only one who is offended by the sexism shown in this commercial. Granted, I'm sure that's not the point..... but to show one woman doing the work, and only men not doing any work is blatantly sexist. Imagine the response if one man were doing the work in the commercial, and three women were just standing around talking. Women around the world would be up in arms!
Just another example of how the movements like feminism, gay rights, affirmative action, etc., have not only strived to created equal rights, but how they have actually created special rights as well.
I think I'm going to start a "Straight White Male" movement, since we are fast becoming a minority.
Having said all that......... the commercial is terribly funny!
