The Wealth of Jesus




οτι λεγεις οτι πλουσιος ειμι και πεπλουτηκα και ουδενος χρειαν εχω και ουκ οιδας οτι συ ει ο ταλαιπωρος και ελεεινος και πτωχος και τυφλος και γυμνος

Rev 3.17 Because you say, I am rich, and I am made rich, and I have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

Rev 5.12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb having been slain to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.

100.8 And certainly Him, most loved of the wealth, surely mighty.



حُبِّ = “hubbi”

“hubbi” definition:

Noun. Love. It comes from the root “habba”, which means he, or it, was, or became loved, beloved, an object of love, affected, liked or approved; beloved, lovely, pleasing, charming, or excellent, is he, or it; to love, like, wish.

لِحُبِّ = “li” + “hubbi” = “lihubbi” = more, and most, loved, beloved

خَيْر = “khayri”

“khayri” definition:

Plural or singular. Considerable and much wealth, wealth acquired by fair means, good moral, physical, actual or potential, profitable and useful thing, happiness, prosperity. Generousness; generosity; liberality; munificence; origin; nature, or disposition; form, aspect, or appearance; figure, person, mien, feature, or lineaments; guise, or external state or condition; or the like. It is also used to signify horses. It comes from the root “khara”, which means to be in good circumstances, be favorable, to, choose, prefer, select, earn wealth. It is of two kinds; which is what is desired in all circumstances and by every person; and what is good to one and evil to another

ََشَدِيدٌ = “shadeedun”

“shadeedun” definition:

Active 2nd participle masculine singular, i.e. a permanent and inseparable nature of his personality and expressive of constant repetition and manifestation of the attribute. Possessing the quality of hard; applied to a substance and to an attribute; firm, compact, or sound; strong, powerful, vigorous, robust, sturdy, or hardy; applied to a thing and to a man. An epithet. Hardness, in substances and in attributes. Severe; Strong; Mighty; Sternly; Great Strength; Violent (warfare). Extreme limit. It comes from the root “shadda”, which means he charged or made an assault or attack, upon him, in war, or battle. He ran. He hastened, or was quick, in running. The day, and the morning became advanced, the sun became high. To bind tightly, strap, strengthen firmly, run, establish, make firm, hard, strong, be advanced (day), be intense.

Summary of 100.8:

• 100.8 is a continuation of 100.7, via the copulative conjunction “wa”, (and)
• 100.8 adds another attribute of the Lord (i.e. Jesus) by repeating the same ayah formula as that contained in 100.7
• Revelation tells us of the ones that Jesus “phileo”, or loves, that are advised to buy from Him gold having been fired by fire, that they may be rich
• Revelation describes this richness first (as relating to mankind) by the terms “plousios” & “plouteo”, which mean wealth obtained from material resources, and outward possessions
• The wealth obtained through Jesus that is described and attributed by/to Jesus, is of the metaphorical good and wealth
• Similarly, 100.8 informs us of His attribute of “lihubbi”, or beloved – most loved, via the corroborative particle “inna”
• 100.8 further juxtaposes this to “alkhayri”, or the wealth; i.e. “considerable and much wealth, wealth acquired by fair means”, via an external state or condition
• Revelation continues with Jesus’ attributes by informing us of the ones that He loves - the very ones that have been instructed to obtain their “wealth” through Him, that, because of this great love, they will be “elegcho”, or reprehended severely and chastised
• Likewise, 100.8 juxtaposes the next corroborative attribute of the Lord (i.e. Jesus) via “la” as prefixed to “shadeedun” – which stands as an epithet meaning “severe; strong; mighty; sternly; great strength” – the very attributes that are stated by Jesus Himself as applying to His loved ones
• Observe that “shadeedun” is “a permanent and inseparable nature of his personality and expressive of constant repetition and manifestation of the attribute”
• In addition, “shadeedun” is applied “to a thing and to a man” further strengthening the referencing of Jesus
• Surveying all Koranic locations of “lashadeedun” & “lashadeedu”, we see that it always references the Lord
• Thus, we have witnessed 100.7 & 100.8 copying-over deity attributes of Jesus Christ – once again confirming that He is God Almighty
• Observe that in 100.7 & 100.8, the authors of the Koran have copied Jesus’ deity attributes from the last of the Assemblies:

2. Smyrna
3. Pergamos
4. Thyatira
5. Sardis
6. Philadelphia
