Occult.. it's true power source?Tarot CardsPerhaps its both. If we work hard and are rewarded for it, glorifying God is to be our first reaction because He gave us life and the strength to reap and sow. So even if we are willing to follow God, He still gets the glory because without Him we wouldn't be alive anyway. Our ability to choose is by the grace of God, therefore we ought not to glory in our decisions. But I'm willing to say that election is still a mystery (to me atleast). Some Christians believe God predestines you based upon the choices you make, and some believe God predestines based upon His election and it has nothing to do with you. But scripture points this out as a secondary issue. The existance of predestination is clearly taught in scripture but it's definition is something that is debated. You can look at Romans 9:11-24. Paul talks about predestination and says that "we are the clay and God is the potter" so God knows what He is doing. Concerning predestination, that is the only dogmatic answer one may give. But Paul gives a reason to justify why predestination is justified by God if one opposes it (Verses 22-24). His reason is speculation (he starts off in verse 22 by saying "What if..."), but it is a good reason to justify predestination nonetheless. So ignorance of the mysteries of God is not a good reason to write Him off seeing that we are creatures and He is the Creator. |
