Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesNo OSAS (Revelation 22:19)Good works do not determine loss of salvation and I have never proposed works as required for or to maintain salvation. Salvation comes and is maintained by faith and faith alone. Scripture tells us that anyone who professes a faith in Christ and does not have good works to back up their claim profess a dead (nonexistent) faith (James 2). You stance on gay theology and practicing homosexuals being saved contradicts Scripture. As to 1 John 2:18-19, this Scripture can apply to those who were never saved in the first place like the Gnostics but does not address those who become apostate. This section also describes false teachers and false prophets who will deceive many (Matthew 24:11) and those who teach “doctrines of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). 1 John 2:18ff is referring to antichrists, not those they deceive. I don’t believe I accused you of redefining words, without reviewing every one of my posts I believe I posted that OSAS advocates try to redefine words such as apostasy, (or as the KJ renders "apostosia" a falling away and to reject) in order to prove OSAS as a valid doctrine. |
