And using the bible as the basis for 'fact' does not work. Therefore, the dialogue should not look like this: This is a rude conversation. Telling a Pagan he/she is wrong and then having no facts, only a dubious book of faith, to back up the assertion. With regards for tolerance, I'm not sure of your definition of the word. Einstein, I believe, said, "Don't give me your words, give me your definitions." I believe tolerance to imply peaceful coexistence without fear of coercion. So let's see: Pagans respect your right to believe what you want to believe without trying to win you over to their religious beliefs or practices. Christians say they respect your right to believe, all the while trying to convince you that you are wrong and need the salvation of Jesus. The latter sounds more intolerant than the former, don't you agree? Of course you don't... |
