I'll pay closer attention to links in future.
I did in fact answer your question re. Jesus' mediation.
If Origen's ideas were misused to support purgatory, they missed his point. He was actually using it to prove his point on the "Restoration of All Things" - the notion of eventual universal salvation, which I always knew to be true, in some sense, in my consience. Reading Origen's thoughts on it simply helped me clarify the finer points. I'm sure you find that immeasurably more contentious and radical than purgatory, ironically That hardly shakes my faith, though.
I think we're coming to an impasse, you and I, Aineo. When someone tells me that I'm going to burn in hell, I find it difficult to find points where we might share our hope. I hope yours is not so frail that circumstances in life will sweep it away. I suspect you'll be terribly disapointed when we all get to heaven and you dont get to watch people get dumped into a lake of fire. If you were expecting a show, you're gonna feel a little cheated, cause I really know God has something better in store for us all. If you are disapointed, that 'something better' He has planned will quickly replace any let-down you might feel - and you and I will have eternity to figure out where we both went wrong. And right.
