ArchivedQustions about your bible. ...........Lets see what Paul has to say about your approach to defending a translation that still contains translation errors in spite of the propoganda you depend on. All you want to do is "strive" about words. So lets look at Acts 19:37 and what "hierosulos" means in the Greek compared to how the KJ translators rendered this word. It seems the KJ translators decided that a templedespoiler is robber of churches. The word usually rendered church(s) in the KJ is: There are two Greek words rendered “temple” in the KJ Bible: The NAS has the correct translation in spite of your hysterical insistence the KJ corrected all errors in 1617. So thank you for revealing another place where the KJ translators ignored Greek definitions in favor or their personal interpretation of God's truth. As to Judges 19:2, if you took the time to read the note in the facsimile of the 1611 edition of the KJ Bible you would have seen the KJ translators indicated an alternate reading that is found in the NAS. I have two copies of the King James Bible; one was published in 1936 and has this same translators note at Judges 19:2, the other one was published after 1945 (I bought it in 1977) and does not contain this translator’s note. So all you have proven is your King James Bible is not the same as the original 1611 edition. I have shown you how the King James translators tampered with God’s pure word and changed His truth by using personal interpretations and social prejudice so the ones who need to be corrected are those who insist that a Bible that still has over 250 mistranslations is the inspired word of God. Maybe God is trying to tell you KJ only people that arguing over English word choices for Greek words with more than one meaning is a total waste of time and energy. Keep going since you are actually helping me to prove my point that the Kings James Bible (although it is a good translation) is not totally accurate and has deviated from the original manuscripts. |
