First of all I am not dismissing you or making light of what the Catholic Church has done and said for the last 1700 years. But what do you expect non-Catholics to do? When Catholics refuse to address this issue the only way non-Catholics can respond is to support Israel and demonstrate with actions that Catholicism is and always has been in error.
Although the specific article you linked to has not been discussed on this board, what John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI have said in public has been: Is Catholicism Christian?
Now as to the article you linked to, it was published January 25, 2003 and is aimed more at the Vatican than Christians in general. This article reports a change in the Vatican's position that dates back to John XXIII and what was reported when John Paul II visited Israel in 2000. Israel welcomes visit by Pope John Paul II - March 2000. The article also brings to light the results of Vatican II and the changes made to the Catholic Catechism in the middle 1990's.
Here is a link to the 210 page document referred to in the article you linked to:The Jewish People and the Holy Scriptures in the Christian Bible
Now like I said, I am not dismissing you but this is old news and many non-Catholics have supported Israel for decades and have worked to stop anti-semetic rhetoric by Christians even longer.
