ArchivedQustions about your bible. ...........The answer to this question is yes, "God has honored these 'older' and "better" manuscripts throughout Church History". The King James Bible and the manuscripts used to translate the King James Bible are from the Western Church. The Eastern Church has used different manuscripts throughout the history of the Christian Church. No English translation of the Scriptures is without error and that includes the KJV. King James Version Translation Errors Alpha brought up a valid point, the Holy Spirit was given to us to lead us to God's truth and God can use any translation to accomplish His will. If you prefer and can understand the KJV great continue to use it, but to cause dissention in the Body of Christ based on a translation of God's word is counter productive. If God can make a jackass talk and a pagan prophet bless instead of curse the Hebrews He can use the NIV or any other modern translation to get His truth out to the world. |
