OK, I'll probably get flamed for some of what I say, especially after you see my sig, but oh well.
His Dark Materials was a good trilogy. I rather enjoyed it, and not because of the anti-Christian views.
Now, back to the topic on hand.
Harry Potter is not a Witchcraft promoting book. It instills morals and teaches kids some of the differences in right and wrong. If it was promoting witchcraft, then why doesn't it use accurate information? If that whole view was correct then why don't the main characters celebrate Samhain and Imbolc and Yule and all the other sabbats? Why doesn't it include the Wiccan Rede? And then there's the fact that 'Witches' don't wave wands around and expect immediant results like that. Harry Potter had nothing to do with my religious choice. In fact, the TV show Charmed porbably had a bigger influence than most books out there.
