Revelation 1:1-3
1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must shortly take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. NAS
Yes I am sure of the date of Revelation and John was shown what was to take place not what had already happened.
3And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. -- Revelation 13:3,8
I don't fully understand what you are trying to say. One of the heads gets a wound that appears to be fatal (but was not) and appears to be resurrected. This cannot apply to Nero since Nero has been dead for almost 2,000 years.
Revelation 17:8-18
8 "The beast that you saw was and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and to go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth will wonder, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come. 9 "Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, 10 and they are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. 11 "And the beast which was and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is one of the seven, and he goes to destruction. 12 "And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. 13 "These have one purpose and they give their power and authority to the beast. 14 "These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful." 15 And he said to me, "The waters which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues. 16 "And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire. 17 "For God has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose by having a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be fulfilled. 18 "And the woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth." NAS
Put Revelation 13:8 in its full context. Ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom with give their authority to the beast. Nero was emperor of a kingdom that conquered other kings they did not willingly relinquish their authority to him. So again the beast cannot be Nero.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-5
2:1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. NAS
When did Nero sit in the Temple of God? This never happened since Nero died in 68 A.D. and Titus was the Roman general who conquered Jerusalem. Vespasian was then Emperor of the Roman Empire.
Revelation 13:4-10
5 And there was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies; and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. 8 And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. NAS
Nero was Emperor of Rome for 14 years so I fail to see how the above applies to Nero.
Daniel 7:23-28
23 "Thus he said: 'The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it. 24'As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings. 25'And he will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. 26'But the court will sit for judgment, and his dominion will be taken away, annihilated and destroyed forever. 27'Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the Highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions will serve and obey Him.' 28 "At this point the revelation ended. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts were greatly alarming me and my face grew pale, but I kept the matter to myself." NAS
Again I am not sure what your point is. The 4th beast is a kingdom that will give rise to the 10 kingdoms who will give their authority to the beast in Revelation 13.
Daniel 11:36-39
36 "Then the king will do as he pleases, and he will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and will speak monstrous things against the God of gods; and he will prosper until the indignation is finished, for that which is decreed will be done. 37 "And he will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all. 38 "But instead he will honor a god of fortresses, a god whom his fathers did not know; he will honor him with gold, silver, costly stones, and treasures. 39 "And he will take action against the strongest of fortresses with the help of a foreign god; he will give great honor to those who acknowledge him, and he will cause them to rule over the many, and will parcel out land for a price. NAS
What does this have to do with Nero? Nero was a fop who was more interested in carnal pleasures than conquering territory. If one of the reasons you think Nero is being described is because of "And he will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the desire of women". 12 of the first 14 Roman Emperors were practicing homosexuals. The most notorious was Tiberius who flaunted his male lover before the Senate and the people of Rome. In order to calm the Senate and the people Tiberius had his lover assassinated and then retired to Capri to live out his life.
The antichrist of Revelation is a man of his times, not some long dead Roman Emperor.
Also, Julius Caesar was not an Emperor of Rome, so Nero is
not the sixth in the line of Emperors he is the fifth. The first Roman Emperor was Augustus, Caesar’s nephew.
