We often times want to think highly of ourselves and others around us. But the truth is that there is NO GOOD in us at all. We are unable to chose what is right. We are in bondage to sin, death, and the law. Yet God in His wonderful grace, gave His Son for us to live.
Therefore, knowing that salvation is a gift from God and that our works are unable to attain His glory. We must humble ourselves. We must admit we know nothing, throwing ourselves before God, confessing that their is no good in us. For we are all wicked and subject to the flesh. All we have to do is think of the last time we've sinned, and our bondage to the flesh is made manifest by our inability to change. Yet God is His mercy will impute the righteousness of His Son on us that we may kept His Holy Commandments, it is not of our own works.
As scripture states God is blasphemied because of the wickedness of His people. Today many name the name of Christ, yet none depart from sin. Truly their praise with their lips alone while their ways are foreign to godliness, but manifestations of the flesh in all it's wickedness. We are sentenced to death if we wish to follow Christ. And our death is to sin. Our hope of glory comes with His reward and brings us into His kingdom, apart from the world. Christ said my sheep hear my voice; let us listen to his voice then. He says call no man you master, for we have one master, Christ. So let us follow Him. He is the door and their is no other way to the Father but by Him. So let us listen to Him. Admitting we know nothing as we should and that there is no good in us. How vain of men to say they have some good in them when God has spoken otherwise. There is no good in us, but we strive to do as God commands us. We strive to please Him and do our duty as loving pilgrims on earth. We fight and wrestle with our sins until He gives us rest.
And when that rest comes, we will be perfected, anointed, sanctified, and justified. There remains no condemnation for those who Christ sets free from sin. The are no longer under the law because they have been born again through death that they may marry another. As long as we have sin in our lives, we have not been crucified with Christ and we are still seeking and praying, hoping and waiting for our salvation to come. On this road, let us wait humbly, giving to those in need, and loving the brethren in spirit and truth. Edifying one another with boldness and sincerity. God is near and all around. Let us depend on Him and look to His righteousness to deliver us from our bondage to sin, death, and the law.
Love Always,
