A 210-page document titled 'The Jewish People and the Holy Scriptures in the Christian Bible,' by the Pontifical Biblical Commission and authorized by the Vatican’s top theologian, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, reportedly states that 'the Jewish messianic wait is not in vain'.
"It reportedly says Jews and Christians share their wait for the Messiah, although Jews are waiting for the first coming and Christians for the second."
Has Rome not thought this issue through? By stating that the Jews were still legitimately awaiting their Messiah, Rome is agreeing with the Jews that Jesus was not their Messiah, their "Christ", for whom they have been long awaiting. However, by agreeing to this theological point, the Vatican is calling their very first "Pope" a liar at worst, a deceived Jew at best. Listen as the Apostle Peter exclaims his understanding and belief about Jesus:
"He [Jesus] saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." [Matthew 16:15-17]
I think you guys should read this, this is the Cutting Edge artice, i got this from.
I'm flabbergasted! This reeks of something else, a smokescreen to instill an anti-semetic bias toward Christians.
