Christian/Muslim ThreadsLucifers Pride! This issues needs some back ground, and I think I should introduce the relevent material so a proper interpation of the Biblical passage can be extracted. Jesus knew what was about to get arrested and then he will be tried and crucified, so he prays to God that, take this difficult task away from me. The reason is that he did not want to die, so angel comes strenthens him perhaps telling him that don't worry you will be saved from death. The self proclaimed Apostale Paul says this regarding the incident on the Mount of Olives: "Who, in the day of his flesh, when he offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save him from death and was heard in that he feared." (Hebrews 5:7) Paul states that Jesus prayed "unto Him" reffering to God who saved him Jesus from death, which Jesus feared. The prayer was meaning that it was accepted by God. Jesus did not die other wise his prayer was not heard, and more dangerouly Paul lied. Take your Choice! Evidence Two: Mary the mother of Jesus goes to the tomb and sees that the tomb is empty, she runs to the deciples and infroms them that the body of Jesus is missing froom the tomb. They all go there and they see the tomb is empty, they look around but dont find jESUS so they go home but Marry the mother of Jesus stays and begins to cry.
Jesus poses these questions to Marry when she arrives at the property owned by Joseph of Arimathe'a who was a very rich and influencial deciple of Jesus. Marry: "she supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him" Before I proceed further I will invetigate the matter why Marry suppsoses that Jesus was a gardner? The tomb which Jesus was lied after was owned by Arimthe'a which was located five miles out of twon, and around this tomb there was a vegetable garden, perhaps he had for his holidays or something. And that explains why the garden would have to be there. And ofcourse there was garden then there has to be gardener/s to look after the garden, after all Arimathe'a had the money to support such a life style. Why does Marry suppose that Jesus was a gardner because he was disguised has a gardner. Why was he disguised has a gardner, because he was afraid of the Roman and Jewish authorities. Why was he afraid of the Roaman and Jewish authorrity becasue he was not dead yet. Because if he was dead then he had not to worry about hiding, in disguise. After death we will not have our phsical body but we will be spirits. Dont start telling me that the resuracted bodies will look like gardners because Jesus has said "Neither shall they die anymore for they are equal onto the angels" Meaning they will be like the angels they will not have a phisical body they will be spirits. Evidence Three: Soon has Jesus asks Mary the two questions she realises who he is so she says Rabboni (Rabboni = Aramaic, note Jesus spoke Aramiac not Hebrew) meaning Teacher, Master, and then makes a phisical contact with Jesus, so Jesus replys "Touch me not! For I have not ascended to my father" Why does Jesus say dont touch me, because it hurt him when Mary made contact with his body. And fallows his statement with "For I have not ascended to my father." He is telling her look Mary I am not dead yet. Now a Christian will say look Jesus resuracted from the dead, and many Christians charged with holy Spirit say, "Jesus conquered death cause he is the lord of the lords!" I am asking them a man who has conqured death and raised from the dead has still not conquered pain, he has not conquered suffering, he still has not conquered his own pain, how will he pay for your suffering? For a resuracted he must conquer pain, he must conquer fear, he must conquer body, he must conquer the all that proves he is alive. Case proven that Jesus was alive and did not resuract from the dead, cause according to Paul "... it is ordained unto all men to die, and after that judgement.", every Christian knows that Jesus was "a man aproved by God to show the wonders and miracles" And his man-ness limits his resuraction in phisical body, cause Paul said "... for once to die and then Judgement.". If he had resuracted then he would have been "equal unto the angels", he must be spirit. But Jesus was not a spirit he was in humad body. Fourth Evidence: Jesus walks in the upper roo and says "shalom Alaiqum!" meaning "peace be with you!" and upon hearing that they were surprised and scared thinking that they are seeing a ghost of Jesus. Jesus realises there situation and says "why are you troubled, why do the doubts rist in your minds?" In plain english Jesus is saying why are you afraid why do you doubt that its me. He fallows on with "look at my hands and feet. It is I my self." He is telling his deciples look man its me not my spirit look at my hands and feets, he is trying to convince them that its him Jesus. He still further and says "Touch me and see for a spirit has no flesh and bones has you see me have." He is telling them a spirit has no flesh and bones because the deciples think that Jesus had died on the cross and was burried in the tomb. But he is telling them look here you fools look at my hands and feet if I was dead then I will have no flesh and bones but you can see me that I have flesh and bones. He is telling them look I am Alive! Alive! Alive! The deciples are over joyed and amazed, but still in the state of shock, and in disbeleif. So he goes on furhter to say Do you have any thing to eat, they give him a peace of broiled fish, and he ate in front of them. Why did he eat, to prove that he was alive, cause its only the mortal beings need food and not he dead or the resuracted, cause they will be spirits, without bodily needs. Again proved that Jesus was alive and not dead. Evidence Five: After all the huff and buff of Jesus with his deciples, the deciples tell Thomas that they had seen Jesus who was with them and he ate broiled fish and honey comb to prove that he was ALIVE. Thomas was not present when all this drama took place so Thomas says I will not beleive until I thurst my fingers into the wounds of Christ. So next time when Jesus visits the upper room Thomas is also present Jesus invites "Hither thy finger and thurst in my wound" and Thomas does like wise. After he makes sure that it is Jesus he is over welmed by the discovery and utters "My lord my God." Thomas realises that the deciples where telling the truth and he didnt beleive them, he realises that he had been wrong all the way along in beleiving that Jesus was dead, but instead he was ALIVE. Now there is a problem Alpha stated that I am misinterpreting the Bible deliberately. By Allah I am only interperting what can be understood from the passages from the face value, there are no allegorical meaning that I can or anyone else can take into acount. I say that the statement "My lord my God!" should have exclamation mark at the end. The Christian will say no it shoudn't, because if this was the case then the author of the Gospel would have put the exclamation mark in it. But the fact is that the Hebrew was written without any spaces or fulstops Questions marks, quotation marks, becasue the this system of seperating the words was not invented until late. Secondly lets suppose Alpha is making a cup of tea and his wife is standing next to him, and he exidently spills the boiling hot water on his hands and other part of body. And the wife shouts "Oh my God Alpha. are you alright, do you want me to call the doctor?" Now I want to ask you all the Christians was his wife calling Alpha God? Ofourse not its just a statement made in the moment of extreme shock. Thomas was also shocked, when he discovered that Jesus was alive and not dead. The shock was result in absolute faith in the death of Jesus. Whcih obviously was not the case. Jesus was Alive. WAs-salam Ali |
