Muslim..Out ReachChariot of Asses and Chariot of CamelsTrue Jesus was talking about the people of Jewish religion... Pharisees. Yes, Islam may be closer, I am not sure.. but Jesus is not exactly happy with what pharisees in the synagogues were believing. Matt 12:10-11 "...and they asked Him saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse Him... And He(Jesus) said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?" Mark 3:2-4 "And they watched Him, whether He(Jesus) would heal on Sabbath day; that they might accuse Him....And He(Jesus) saith unto them Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath day or to do evil? to save life or to kill?" Matt 6:2 "Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. " These three quotes states that Jesus is discontented with some Jews beause they follow the rules but have no love, and care in them, they are hypocrites. God is not a dead machine, and that is why even though some things in the bible may sound contradicting, they actually are not. They answer differently to different situations and only people with the Holy Spirit can understand the message God wants to speak. If one reads the bible like a story book, then it is no more than a story book. But the Holy Spirit makes reading the Bible "alive", it sometimes changes in meaning when read again and again(even though the same verses are read). That is why it is the "living river","the Spirit", it guides you through your life. God is love, pharisees do not practice that(they are dead machines who do not know the real will of God, as they have no relationship with God), so their fruits are threatened to be taken away from the Kingdom of God. Islam may be closer to jews, but Christians may be the ones who are truly pleasing in the eyes of God and Jesus. That is why we are called Christians, which are formed from the word Christ(Jesus). John 12:14 "And Jesus when He had found a young ass, sat thereon;as it is written, Fear not daughter of Sion: behold, thy kingdom cometh, sitting on an ass's colt." Does that sound like Isaiah's prophecy which goes like this: Isaiah21:7 "...And he saw a chariot of donkeys, and a chariot of camels, and he listened earnestly with great care." or does it sound like this: Zechariah9:9 "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:behold, thy King(Jesus=God ) cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation ( jackpot); lowly, and riding upon AN ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass." Okay, I'll explain, Isaiah meant just like what Alpha has said earlier, Chariots of donkeys and camels refer to donkey and camel riders of the Persian army at that time who uses them as a form of transportation. |
