ArchivedQuestions you cant answer.
Keep in mind, I may use you and I, but I am speaking in general or to all who will consider these things. John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is the good news of the gospel summed up. So yes, I really believe that people are doomed for not believing His true Gospel. That which is able to save a man. If you have time to read I'll explain why I believe this. But first, I'll answer the simplier questions that won't take much time. Their are no "saints" of other religions. Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: So no man is considered a saint or righteous in the eyes of God. All fall short His glory of God. People of religion, usually have faith in practices and certain beliefs. Hebrews 6:1 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Hebrews 9:14 - How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? But we are told to turn away from those dead works of religion, as God moves us to perfection. I'm not really sure what you're asking with this question. I need clarity on this one. Now as to are you doomed, for not accepting Christ? You state...
This is a perfect example of what it is like friend. But let me explain why this is so. Let's turn your symbols (chocolate and vanilla) into it's proper scriptural context. The sheep (the chocolate lovers or those who follow the Shepherd) and the goat (the vanilla lovers or those who loved to do evil rather than godliness). Do you now see a defining difference b/w just liking vanilla or chocolate? One would be to love God and life, but the other is a love of self and sin, which is a form of hatred toward Him or rebellion (that's a better word for it). So as far as doom, do I believe one will pay for their disobedience? Yes. But I don't know exactly what that will be. Now, if I may addres the wording you chose "liking" chocolate. It is not about liking. But it is about doing as told by the One who came from above. Hebrews 10:28-29 - He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (verse 31). If you take the time to read the whole chapter, you will see that it is talking about obedience. John 14:24 - He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 1 John 2:4 - He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. This is speaking of love and obeying, but it says nothing about liking. It is clearly said that those who love God (the chocolate lovers) do as he commanded, but those who don't (the vanilla lovers) do not. This is what the bible says and what I believe. I'm sure you've heard about faith in Christ (the traditional version), but let me speak about faith. You may have heard that all you have to do is believe in Christ and be saved right? This I do believe, but not the traditional version, but the true version of it. That faith is made manifest by action. In other words, if we do not, we are not. James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For example, this says, be doers of the word and that those who only listen to it are deceiving themselves. Anyone who says that we don't have to do, have just made the bible to contradict itself. So yes, I do believe that those who do as they are told, deserve reward? And those who chose to disobey (vanilla lovers), will recieve justice. Would you not declare a servant who obeys your commands faithful, and the servant who disobeys you wicked and unfaithful? He has every right to do so.
Yes, that is exactly the case with one's mind. According to scripture, the natural man is carnal. But God shares His kingdom with the spiritual man. John 3:6 - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Just as Christ died and rose the third day, we are to be baptised into His death, which is to sin. Romans 6:3 - Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Romans 6:6-8 - Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: And be reborn by the spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. From these we see that we are baptised into his death (which is to sin) Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? As you see from the first two versus of Romans 6, we are not to continue in sin because we are to be dead to it. But the problem is, that all men fall short of that glory. Yet, God will send the spirit of His Son (His Holy Spirit) to dwell in you and clean up your ways; so that you can keep His Holy Commandments which are a reflection of Him. Matthew 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 1 John 2:4 - He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But God will strenthen you to walk in righteousness and keep His commandments. Understand, it is by grace that you are saved and not of your own works. But by his grace, He will put the spirit of His Son into your heart, to fulfill and not destroy. Galatians 4:6 - And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 2 Corinthians 1:22 - Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit [Spirit of His Son, Christ] in our hearts. Luke 4:1 - And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Romans 8:14 - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. You see, this is why I believe that the chocolate lovers (those who obey God by the Word of His Son) will be with God, because they love him (manifested by keeping His commandments). Conversely, those who reject the Son (the vanilla lovers) will be dealt with justly, because they chose to live wickedly and do what was evil in God's eyes. So it matters not what title you claim, "Christian" or Otherwise, it is are you doing as what God commanded and obeying the gospel. There are many with faith in dead works, such as religious rituals and external practices. But being a chocolate lover is more of an internal thing. Or as James says, "I'll show you my faith by my works" or How Abraham offered up Isaac and it was fulfilled, that his believing God is accounted to him as righteousness, because He believed God and did what He said.
This is another true problem with us. Men are carnal and thinks carnally. But God's word is spiritual, which is why carnal man does not understand it. 1 Corinthians 2:13 - Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Without God's direction, he would be trying to convince himself that grass is purple. Darkness is heresy to light. And light is heresy to darkness. Carnal man does not understand His word with a fleshly mind, but with a spiritual, as the Spirit of Truth teaches. 1 John 2:27 - But the anointing [Spirit of His Son] which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Matthew 23:8 - But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. Matthew 23:10 - Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. He is speaking of a personal relationship b/w Him and us, in which we are led by His Spirit (the Holy Spirit or Spirit of His Son). So while your example is a good one. It is no where near the difference between those who obey God and those who do not. And it is a much more serious matter. If you promised those who loved you, everlasting peace, would you let those come in who would cause pain and such things? As far as if a person never heard of Christ. I can only offer you Paul's word. Romans 2:14 - For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: If you come to the U.S and do nothing to break the law, can you be convicted of breaking it? Of course not. And likewise Paul is saying that when those who have not the law (do not know God's message/commandments) follow it naturally, they are a law to themselves. Again, I'll say it is a matter of those who follow Christ in submission to the will of the Father (chocolate) or those who chose to disobey God and do wickedly; sin is disobeying His Law. 1 John 3:7 - Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 2:29 - If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. If a man is doing what is righteous, it is because God birthed Him in spirit. It's not a matter of claimed titles or belief systems. To the last remark you made, I'll share these things with you. Man is not the one who makes the choice to follow Christ, but God is the one who draws them to Him. John 6:44 - No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 15:16 - Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. John 15:19 - If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. They truly were given a brain and the option to chose to live or to die. If man choses to die, we reap what we sow. This is righteous judgement. Deuteronomy 30:19 - I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: And I did not forget the question about this: God's judgement is righteous indeed. I'll post what He says and you determine whether it is fair or not. Ezekiel 18:21-25 - But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? Proverbs 29:18 - Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Do those who violate the law, not get arrested and serve the proper time for their transgression. The only difference is that God knows everything and does not need a jury to find you guilty. Yet He gave His Son as our example, and will give us the Spirit of His Son to bear witness of His righteousness and truth. That we may live everlasting life if we seek Him and His righteousness diligently, apart from the camp and their dead works. Regardless of the religious affiliation, the point is did you have faith and act on it? Did you just honor Him with your lips, but did not do as He commanded? Or will you disagree with His counsel and chose your own path of rebellion (being your own god, which is idolatry)? Some even praise Him, while they believe in lawlessness. But as you said, we do have a God given brain to chose to not obey God, violate His commandments, and go to court for our verdict. But why take that route, when He is waiting for you to return to Him in righteousness that He may forgive you and cleanse you from all sin. 1 Peter 2:24 - Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Corinthians 15:34 - Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. Hebrews 12:10 - For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. 1 John 5:4 - For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:18 - We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
