Can some of you tell me why you consider Christ to be the one in a world of thousands of religions present and past, In a world where if you were born in Isreal youd be of Jewish faith and just as sure of yourself as a Jew as you are of your Christianity.
Hey nik. No other world view or religion has someone dying for you that you may obtain life. No greater love can one show by giving their life for you. By rejecting that message alone, people are condemning themselves by spiritually saying all that blood means nothing. Also, there are many people who grew up in other faiths and then adhered to the truth and became a Christian. Christ said you have to be "born-again" in order to be saved (John 3:3). People all over the world are going through that process. I remember when I was in the world and didn't even care about the things of God, but now (by the grace of God) my eyes have been opened.
As for those who might not hear the gospel, Romans 2 teaches that those who did not receive the law like Israel in the Old Testament, still had the law in their hearts because their conscience bore witness to the law. In other words, everyone has some sense of moral obligation or may I say generally that everyone has some knowledge of light in them. If they adhere to whatever light they have, God will give them more light to the point where Jesus Christ will be revealed to them. If they ignore whatever light they have and rebel, their hearts will be darkened to the point of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which is the only unforgivable sin (Matthew 13:31). Jesus said,
"Take care what you listen to. By your standard of measure it will be measured to you; and more will be given you besides. For whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him." (Mark 4:24-25)
So the problem is not that man is ignorant, the problem is what Jesus said here:
"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)
Now, if this is not sufficient enough for you to accept the fact that many who have not heard the gospel are without excuse, then take in mind that when Jesus did miracles in a certain town, and people still did not believe His message, Jesus said it will be more tolerable in the day of judgement for other towns that did not receive the revelation they received (you can look at Luke 10:13-14). God's judgement is perfect, and He will judge each man accordingly.
With this said, you and I and many who have heard the fullness of the gospel are without excuse. Therefore, do not let the alleged ignorance of others be a hinderance to you.
