Christian/Muslim ThreadsSura 89....Jesus Resurrection on the 3rd Day...Greetings TwentyTwenty, I have… What exactly do you think a tafsir is in the first place….? A tafsir is no more than a soap-box editorialization of the Koranic scriptures….with near zero exegetical value whatsoever. No more, no less.
Please show me the references that were used to generate the tafsir that you quoted from…. Hint….you won’t find any…because none were used… The authors just want you to blindly take their word for it. Fact of the matter is that all tafsir’s that I have ever read are complete and utter scholarly JOKES. Total wastes of time, as it were. Muslims are centuries behind Christians when it comes to properly exegeting the scriptures of their respective Holy Books. What Christians call an exegesis (a critical examination of the scriptures), Muslims call a “tafsir” (which does not involve any critical examination of anything other than the embellishment of the opinion of the author who is writing it). Muslims are afraid to critically examine their book of faith. When someone does critically examine it, and discovers that the truth is nothing what they have been told since they were toddlers…well, then the Muslims become incensed with outrage… Period. Deep down, Muslims know that their book of faith falls like a wet deck of cards. If you want to break from the Islamic machine, then now would be the time to step up to the plate and learn the proper way to exegete scripture…and tafsir’s need to be file 13’ed… Thanks… |
