Christian/Muslim ThreadsAbdullah/Alpha debate: Internal contradictions a priority? No errors in the Qu'ran, then definately no errors in the Holy Bible. Christians and Muslims basically use the same methods to defend alleged internal contradictions. Therefore, the only way I mention internal contradictions in the Qu'ran is if you mention those in the Bible. As for the Qu'ran, it also has scribal errors. The difference? Bible contains way more manuscript evidence than the Qu'ran. Scribal errors for biblical scripture does not take away from the overall message. It's almost like someone writing a book on Calculus and they misspell a few words contained in over 700 pages. That does not all of a sudden disprove Calculus. Also, the manuscipts for the Bible are sooooooo old (signifying depth) that scribal errors can be words faded away through the age of the manuscript. The manuscripts from your Qu'ran are fresh out of Barnes and Nobles clean in comparison. Therefore, there is less reason to put your faith in it. Over 95% accuracy of the manuscripts? Only the Bible. Contains the most manuscripts? Only the Bible. So, not only in accuracy does the Bible surpass your Qu'ran, but also in abundance! If you can't discern someone being hypothetical, how can you debate? |
