Regarding your first post. Most of the non-flowering trees, grasses and many other plant phyla are not "paired"
Monerans, virus's, are other examples of living organisms that are NOT paired. There are many more in the biblical context, that don't "mate" in the paired sense, but you would probably debate these as some vicarious link to being paired.
thanks. let me learn about them first.

As to your agreeing with naaji, come on now, your original post clearly showed that you interpeted this passage to refer to the creation of life, and not the creation of paired opposites in physics or morality such as matter/antimatter and good/bad. Now that naaji has posted you may say that he makes a point, but the problem is, its a point that skirts the meaning of the passage, and anyone with common sense knows it. The passage refers to life and I have not read any muslim offer any other interpretation of that passage until its pointed out that its inconsistent with truth.
i was only responding to the article that you pasted. i did not explain further because i did not think that will answers the accusation made by the writer.

You have proffered this explanation to reconsile the inconsistency in the Qurans definition of day and how God measures it. Your example is mute, since God is not giving us a comparison to a day on a planet we don't reside. In fact a day in our definition doesn't change on pluto or earth since our day is now measured by a sychronic beat measured to fractions of a tenth, and not on the rotation of the earth at this time. Time is only relative in general and special relativity and not based on what planet you are standing still on.
Your explanation does not address the point at all. The Quran gives 2 significantly different lenghts for Gods day, in MANS terms....not some far off planetary rotation measurement.
lets go back to the two verses:
The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years: (70:4)
Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But God will not fail in His Promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. (22:47)
Do not ignore the fact that the two verses explains two totally different issue. The first one is about the agels and spirits ascend to God and the other is about punishment. You are comparing an apple to an orange.

In regard to "who created Satan" Clearly I agree that God did for HIs will...but God is not "bad" or "good" He is only good, with no bad in Him. God is the essense of goodness, hence "bad" (as the quran states) would be a contradiction of the highest kind. This does not mean that He cannot choose to "allow evil" for His "good purpose" knowing that His purpose will ALWAYS be good.
God created satan... and God also provide us with prophets and Holy Books... so it is clear that it is up to us to choose... He wants us to choose... as the verse says "I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires..." ... He shows us the path to be chosen...
I will give you an example... you stay in a hotel... suddenly somebody knocked the door... you open the door and you see a sexy woman offering her service... she is a prostitute... and as the God's rule states... zina is not permitted... Now it is up to you whether you want to commit zina or just say no to the prostitute.
now the question... who allows the woman to come to your room and knocked the door? if God does not allow that to happen, will she be able to reach your room?

In regard to the mountain issue. The quranic verse talkes about mountains stabalizing the crust, and you proffered they acted to minimize shock, and that was their purpose. This is just patently untrue. Isostasy does not have anything to do with mountains, in fact your original quoted definition was great, and if you notice, no mention of mountain was in it.
It did mentioned about Himalaya. The 2nd paragraph was also part of the explanation about isostasy. Please read all of it.
Nothing to do with mountain? Don’t lie. Type ‘isostasy mountain’ in google search. Press Enter.

Of course I agree that plate techtonics continues, and mountain ranges are forming. The Andes are growing measurably each year. But the fact remains that mountains form as a result of vulcanic activity and plate techtonics and they were not put here as stabalizers of these processes, but in fact mountains are a RESULT of them. Now, just because it continues to change the mountains with time, does not mean that the mountain is anything other than an effect of the causes mentioned. This is in contradiction to the Quran.
since you agreed then there is no problem with verse ‘mountain moving slowly like cloud’…
Dr. Frank Press was the president of The Academy Of Science in the United States, he was appointed as the scientific advisor to former U.S president Jimmy Carter. He is the co-author of a Geology text book entitled "Earth", this text is considered as the basic reference text in many universities around the world. On page 488 of this text, mountains are illustrated as wedge like shapes, likewise in the illustration on page 413 the exposed part of the mountain is shown as a small part of the whole, whose roots are deeply entrenched into the ground. With regards to the function of mountains Dr. Press writes on page 435, that Mountains play a great and important role in the stabilization of the Earth crust. This is exactly what the Quran described 1400 years ago.
