Christian/Muslim ThreadsMentality of an average missionarySardab wrote:

Like most people on this forum, I have a lot of responsibility; I find it childish therefore to consider any absense from this forum to be evading from responding to any particular difficult question. Sardab wrote: Kai wrote: Why? If it is a problem that I lack the time to reply to your post, SURELY IT MUST BE A PROBLEM THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO REPLY TO MY ARGUMENT IN LENGTH. Sardab wrote:
Kai responds: Exactly which general picture and which patterns? So far you have presented nothing. And what mumbo jumbo am I supposed to have presented? As a matter of fact I am the only one who is posting actual sources here. Sardab wrote: Kai replies: Exactly which lies...? Sardab wrote: Kai replies: So now instead of debunking me and present some of these general patterns and facts, you merely turn to accusations. I have not accused all Muslims to liars or egocentric... Sardab wrote: Kai replies: Prove your point, point out where I have used lies and false accusations, so far I am the one who has made use of Koranic and Hadith sources. Sardab wrote: Kai replies: In what sense have I blamed or accused Islam, all I have done is referring to Scripture, and as everyone reading this thread must have noticed you have agreed. Sardab wrote: Kai replies: If Christians who were responsible for such atrocities were pure devout Christians, can you then point out some New Testament passages which legitimize invasion, genocide and rape; now that is a challenge my friend. You seem to forget that Christianity is transformation, it’s about lifestyle, and lifestyle which contradicts the Christian faith disproves Christian devotion (Matthew 7) (Matthew 25) (Romans 6; 8) (1 John 1-5). In other words if an individual engages in the atrocities you describe he has rejected his faith and religion. Sardab wrote: Kai replies: Again simple accusation and claims, how can you claim that Christianity is a non-working machine? Millions are converting every year, and their lives are transformed, whole communities are transformed. Christianity engages in social work and relief work of every kind more than any other group, and has done so since its origin, if you doubt my word may I suggest you to do a study of the early Christian church. Sardab wrote: Kai replies: Well, if I desired to rape helpless girls and women, even in front of their husbands, fathers and brothers, then Islam would truly benefits my desires. Such cannot be described to the Christianity; thus which religion bears the fruit of a divine origin? Sardab wrote: Kai replies: Exactly what do you want me to defend or justify? If you want me to justify the crusades or inquisition then such atrocities are not in accordance with Christian Scripture; however and still, such practice is not even in accordance with the majority Christians. Yet you forget that e.g. the crusades were a reaction to Muslim attrocities and invasion of Christian territories. And what do you mean by a average missionary? Not every missionary uses apologetic and polemic in his approach toward the non-Christian. Most missionaries and Christians focus on the simple preaching of the Gospel and relief works (praise God for that). What you see on this forum is apologetic and polemic not necessarily mission. This is a place where we debate and dialogue about the various issues, and there is a place for that. Sardab wrote: Kai replies:
