Aineo, you should take your own advice and study history.
Many horrible crimes and foolish deeds have been done by professing Christians, often in the very name of the Christian faith. These people would certainly be upset by the term "so-called Christians". They were genuine Christians, however misguided they might have been.
So the Crusaders who pillaged the Holy Land, and who slaughtered thousands of Muslims, Jews, and fellow Christians, were "so-called" Christians? No, Aineo, they were genuine Christians, perhaps more genuine than anyone on this forum.
Same for the Inquisition: were those inquisitors anything less than full-blooded Christians? Not at all. Everything which they did, they did in the name of the Christian faith.
An awful inconsistency exists in Aineo's thinking. When Christians do terrible things, he downplays these crimes by distancing them from the Christian faith, even when these things are done EXPLICITLY in the name of religion. On the other hand, when Muslims do terrible things, he reflexively connects these crimes with the Islamic faith. He wants to have it both ways, but this is not logically possible.
Sardab is absolutely right. And Aineo needs to wake up and smell the coffee, and stop acting so arrogantly towards others.
