ArchivedIdolatry in ChristianityPeace all.. Yes brother I feel I must. Because he's claiming that his "corrections" of my faith affect me personally, which is arrogant. Also for the fact that he constantly denies the teachings of Jesus Christ for the laws of Israel. Remember, Christianity was a continuation of Judeaism. Jesus died a Jew, but rose as Christ. His teachings are what we must follow over all. Now I usually agree with Aineo. But right now you guys are making mute points about idols. A few months ago we had a debate about the so-called idoltry appearing during Christmas, from crucifixes and angels on top of Christmas trees, to manger scenes. The basic outcome of the debate was that the idoltry appearing during Christmas was some what acceptable. As long as the topper on your tree wasn't a dollar bill or something. Now we're here debating it again. We can't have it both ways. Bottom line is: I dont bow down to a cross or any other image. I have a picture of the last supper in my dinning room. Everytime I look at it, I ponder what an amazing person Jesus was when he walked the earth. Every time I see a cross, I say "Thank you". Now if those of you that disagree with me call this "idol worshiping", then you have some serious issues with your own faith, to the point where you have to "correct" mine.
