You may not notice this, but you have just confessed that you have three gods. The verse I qouted, says God and called that God Lord Jesus. So he clearly calls God Jesus here. So to say that there are distinct persons, makes Jesus one for three Gods. But of course you will ot admit your errors or change for the truth's sake.
Now, you cry and cry about scripture, so let's take it there...
But now are they many members, yet but ONE body. Corinthians 12:20
You have qouted this a number of times, completely out of context. If you read the whole chapter instead of just taking one verse and giving it a meaning. You would understand that this scripture is referring to the chruch. The body of Christ and not God.
1 Corinthians 12:12 - For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
This is talking about the body of believer being one. This is not a reference to different persons of God.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make (our abode)with him. (John 14:23)
How true is the scripture, but how false is what you attach to it. Surely God comes into the believer. Who indwells the believer? Is it not the Holy Spirit? The Spirit of truth indeed comes, the comforter that was promised to us. Now, if you will submit to God so that you can understand. You will notice that the we is the Holy SPirit. God will come and dwell with us.
Ephesians 2:22 - In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Don't you see, that God is Spirit. His Spirit, dwells in us who are His temple. This reference to the Father and Son, who is the same person, son being the manifestation in the flesh of Himself. (you cannot argue this point if you say the son is God. For if the Son is God, then by manifesting God, He manifest himself, b/c He is God). It is His Spirit that dwells in us, the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 3:17 - If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
2 Corinthians 6:16 - And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
It's funny that God said I will dwell in them. This being fulfilled by the Holy Spirit who is the Father and Son (who manifests God in the flesh). Now, God said that He will dwell in them. And the verse I qouted from Acts, calls this God Jesus. Do you disagree with Acts, is Jesus not God? If so, then is there another God beside Him? Let's see what else you have qouted...
1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one{heis}Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one{heis}Spirit. SPIRIT OF TRUTH!
Again you have errored. who are the we, the follwers, this is not refering to many gods/person, but many people into one body which is the church. Notice, He said by One Spirit, which you admit is one numerically, as you stated
"The word for ONE is "heis" is used to describe a NUMERICAL ONE, however the word one which is a numerical one is used in numerous passages in Scripture to describe not a numerical one but ONE IN UNITY."
As you said the word is used to describe one numerically. The rest of it, is doctrine and not truth. But speculation to support you doctrine. When you look up the word in the dictionary. Does it states one in unity, or one numerically? Numerically as you have already stated, the rest of that is just added for sake of doctrine., but back to my point.
You notice that One spirit works in all. Who is this One spirit? The God (Yahweh) who said He would dwell in Him? The SOn, who said we will make our abode with him? or the SPirit, who is the promised comforter? To simply answer these questions, we need only look at the scripture, that says One spirit and who is that one Spirit? It is God....
Back to Acts, now, what did they call this one God, Lord Jesus, according to Stephen, do you disagree with Stephen in His calling God Jesus? Or did he just have a spirit of arrogance and blindness as you suggest those who have spoken truth to you have?
So if you answer nothing else for me, please just answer these two questions
Acts 7:59 - And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
Calling upon God, what name did Stephen call? Is there more than one God?
With Love,
The Persecuted...
This humility nonsense needs to stop , say what you must but thats on you. I have submitted to the Truth, have you my friend?
Do you or do you not understand the meaning of Unity?
Once again re-read my post, do you know what it means when the Scriptures speak of ONE SPIRIT?
But he that is joined unto the Lord is (one spirit). (1 Corinthians 6:17)
Since according to you and the English Dictionary, the Scriptures are in error because that same Spirit(The Spirit of Truth) that works within all True Believers is numerical, and the results is an erroneous Theology.
What is disturbing is that you rather rely on the English Dictionary than the Holy Scriptures.
When stephen saw the Son of Man seated "On the right hand" of God the Father(NOT THE SON) He indeed saw one God. This same One God that is described as a Tri-Unity not numerical throughout all scripture.

I suppose that me and the rest of the Body of Believers are NOT DIFFERENT PERSONS. Since Christ mentions that we should be ONE, EVEN AS He and His Father are ONE. According to you, me and the rest of the Body of believers are NOT DIFFERENT PERSONS.
John 14:23 - Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Jesus who is God clearly stated that HE
AND HIS FATHER will make THEIR ABODE within us, how many is
we? And how many is
our?
Actually I find it utterly amazing how you cannot see the Tri-Unity of God. Maybe its because your interested in getting the
LAST WORD in instead of submitting to the Truth? Be not deceived my friend.
God Bless!
