Kyas
I am sorry kyas, but it is not merely an interpretation, the Qu'ran says exactly what it says, and it is most definately wrong about the setting of the sun. The traveler may have been the primary theme, but in stating what occures during his travels, the Qu'ran makes clear mistakes. That is the point; God, if He wrote this, would not make those mistakes.
Alpha's point is also well taken, but unfortunately, to a believer in Islam, historical evidence of Christ will always be discounted in favor of the Qu'ran.
Kyas's contention that the 'measurement of days' passages talk about 2 different things is also incorrect. In both passages, the writter (supposedly Allah) gives a measurement for humans to humans for our understanding. The passages talk about different events, but measure the same "day", and the Qu'ran clearly contradicts itself.
I submit that Kyas has yet to adequately defend ANY of the mistakes or contradictions noted.
