???! Strong's Hebrew 3467: yasha;[verb form of "Yesha"] a prim. root; prop. to be open, wide or free, i.e. (by impl.) to be safe; caus. to be free or succor:--x at all. avenging, defend, deliver (-er), help, preserve, rescue, be safe, bring (having) salvation, save (-iour), get victory. Hebrew 3468: "Yesha" from 3467 [noun form of yasha]; liberty, deliverance, prosperity:--safety, salvation, saving So as I stated a few posts back: In Greek "Yesha" has the "s" added to it to give it masculine gender as "IESOUS". The "sh" in "Ye(sh)a is not pronounced in Greek so it is not found in "IESOUS". The Hebrew "Yesha" has the "Y" letter which is the same as the letter "I" in ancient Hebrew/Aramaic in pronunciation so it is the same as "Iesha". Since the "I" is followed by a vowel the "I" has the "J" sound so it is pronounced "Jesha". From this Hebrew word the "s" is added in Greek and becomes "Jeshas" and when transliterated into Greek it becomes "IESOUS". And when the rules of Hebrew grammar are applied it becomes "JESOUS" when properly transliterated into English which is "JESUS". So by using a Strong's Concordance to look up "Yesha" the Hebrew word for salvation. And by applying the rules of ancient Hebrew/Aramaic grammer and then transliterating that Hebrew word into Greek and adding the Greek "s" for gender and then transliterating the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew word into English as a Hebrew word (not as a Greek word) using the Hebrew grammar rules again we get the name JESUS. So even without the Greek Septaugint version of the O.T. it is still possible to come up with the name of JESUS from the Hebrew by using ancient Hebrew/Aramaic grammer rules and following transliterating rules. If I pronounced your name Dino instead of Aineo it would not be pronouncing your name at all. If Aineo was your legal name but you signed a check with Dino that would make that check worthless. How much more if we ever deny the true name of God? |
